Shipmates,

Each year since our beginning, we have had a picture taken during our reunions.  We try to pick an interesting, memorable place.  Those of you who have attended, know how great they are to remember our reunions.  This year is particularly special for three reasons.  First, we are going to Washington, D.C., the home of ourgovernment.  Secondly, we are having special tours of the WhiteHouse and our laying the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns.  Thirdly, we are headed to having three times as many attendees as we have ever had, how cool is that!!!

President Bill has expressed his desire to have all the shipmates be particularly photogenic by wearing our official USS Seattle AOE-3 Veterans Association shirt, at two of our venues.  We have them available in the ship’s store.  Scroll down to #26 to view our shirt.  For this special reunion, we are going to offer them for sale for less  than we pay in the hopes you will buy one of each color (white and Navy blue) to wear for our photos.  Now this special will be availableONLY in the registration area for this reunion which we will be posting on the website very soon.

Our plan is to wear white on August 4th when we tour and place the wreath at Arlington.  Then wear the blue on Friday when we tour the White House.  This is so we all look alike while we are together and for our group picture taken at both events.  You do not need to buy a shirt.  We would like every shipmate to be in our association shirt for the pictures but you may wear your own white and navy blue shirt.  We hope this below cost pricing will entice you buy them.

These are very nice shirts and everyone comments how well they travel.  Lastly, we will deliver the shirts to you at the reunion so there will not be any shipping costs, either.  I am writing this early to everyone so you will, hopefully, put this into your plan for registration time.  I will send this again when the registration page is up.
