While the Seattle was in commission, over 35 years, she was homeported in three locations.  First of course was the shipyard she was buit in, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington.  Six moths after commissioning Seattle was underway for Naval Operations Base (NOB) in Norfolk, Virginia.  In 1990 she was relocated to Naval Weapons Station Earle, New Jersey until 2001 when she was sent back to Norfolk until her decommissioning in 2005.
