Spent some great times on board. Worked in the aft engineroom.
Served with some great shipmates. Stayed in the reserves and retired as MMCS on Feb. 6, 2013 total time served was 41 years. Would do it again.

Ship Story:

MM2 Mike Hawley's last cruise when he came off the watchbill and after having been on board for 5 years left the engineroom to see the ship. After about 1 hour he came back down all bummed out and said outside of M&B division I don't know anyone! Those were the days before ESWS when a hole snipe stay a hole snipe and didn't mix with other non hole snipes.
