Good morning shipmates.  Sitting here sipping my first cup of coffee from my new USS Seattle mug thinking of my days in the radio shack.  Also the times in the berthing compartment playing rummy with some of you guys.  Anyone up for a game?

The association officers currently have a campaign going to get new members and I am writing to encourage you to consider paying your membership fees.  What better way to celebrate the holidays than to renew friendships and to begin making plans to attend the reunion in Norfolk next fall.

I hope all of you a Merry Christmas and the best of New Years and look forward to hearing from you soon on this site.

The association means so much to me I can not describe the joy I get out of working on the web page but most of all talking and corresponding with the guys that I served with on the Seattle.

The guys that have joined from later years have provided insight into the life of the seattle and the new friendships they provide are treasured.
