I've been digging for a long time to find out the name of AMS3 Crockford. I found the memorial on your web-site for him and my search is over. I was a FC3 onboard the USS Macdonough (DDG-39) the night of the accident. We were conducting a vertrep and to receive stores when the helicopter went down. I remember watching the entire event and spending a long time that night watching and hoping to find the 4th crew member. Ever since then, I've wanted to know his name. Now I do. I know the intent of this website is to collaborate with past crew-members, but I wanted to say thank you for helping me finally find the name of the man that I've wanted to know for so long. It's amazing how an event like that can stick with you for so long. If you want to post this on your site for others to read, please feel free.
