Condolences to Jon's family on their lost. I was onboard during his time but sorry to say I don't recognize his name. Have to pull out 73 Cruise book. I was a Storekeeper in S-1 Div, worked in the Supply Office and was phone talker in Cargo Conrol during Unreps!

I was very saddened today to find out that my Ship Mate and friend had passed away at a very young age. Jon and I had become very good friends in the short 18 months that we served together. My memories with Jon were working up on the forward gun deck ,aiso being very busy during replenishment moving ammunition on fork trucks. I think my best memories were just talking with Jon about home and our loved ones and what we liked to do when we weren't serving our Country .
God bless you Jon.

Today Jon Sinex would have been 65. It's strange not to call or have him call me. Jon was a great shipmate and a great friend. I spoke to his wife, Sarah last month. She's doing well but misses him. Best wishes to his family and friends.
