Stu Tyson 2009 Kansas City

Shipmates, it’s with a heavy and sad heart I report another of our veteran, plank owner and lifetime member of the USSSVA has passed away.  Stu Tyson from Vancouver WA was found in a park just a block from his home deceased from an apparent Heart attack.  The fireman that responded said it looked like he went quickly and without any pain.

Rose Marie will keep me posted as to details of his service and I’ll post them on our website. Stu wanted to be cremated and laid to rest in a national cemetery, maybe the Vancouver Barracks National Cemetery very close to their home.

There will be a viewing this Friday 5/13/2022 followed by a Catholic service Saturday.

At a future date Stu will be inturned at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR.
