2017 USSSVA Reunion Information

Reunion update from your USSSVA Reunion planners, Vic & Bill & Jim

 

USS Seattle Shipmates, our 10th USSSVA reunion (October 3rd – 7th) is not that far away and it’s time to be planning to attend. You can register for the hotel on their website, see below now.  You aren’t charged until you check in, but you do reserve a room at our rate of, $119. We have a fixed number of rooms at the $119 rate and once they go you would be charged the regular rate.  However, if you register before August and we reach our numbers, we can add more rooms at the discount rate, but not after. And again, if your plans change, you can cancel up to 72 hours before at no cost to you.

 

The next step is to resistor on the USSSVA website for the reunion activities. You can sign up for the activities and there are different ways to pay.  Once you register, we will send you some procures of events we’re doing and some places to visit in and around San Antonio.

 

Its important for us to know 30 days in advance of the reunion how many people plan to attend each event as well as your meal selections and if you have any special meal requirements. We will need a head count for the bus and for the river boats (Earl and Bob will be driving). If you need to cancel

 

Each year we take a group picture of shipmates at an event.  Many if not most of you have purchased a blue and white short sleeved shirt from the ship’s store.  Our schedule this year is the blue shirt on Thursday and the white shirt on Friday.  The ship’s store will be ordering one order for the reunion with delivery at the reunion.  We will set up a special place to order the shirts in our ship’s store on the website and announce it in a separate email blast in the near future.  Please watch for it.  While it is not required to have our ship’s shirts, we hope you will wear the right colors on those two days.
